In the small Kakheti town of Tsnori, a group of young people opened a small social enterprise years ago called the “Knowledge Cafe” — and quickly grew it into a large, multifunctional educational space. Its main mission is to bring children, young people, and the elderly into cultural life, help them gain new knowledge, and share experiences.
Since it started, the Knowledge Cafe has survived thanks to donations, help from friends, and support — both material and intellectual — from like-minded people. Today, it includes a modern library, bookstore, café, and informal learning space, all free for the local community to use. But the plans are even bigger. As Nana Bagalishvili, co-founder of the Knowledge Cafe, explains, the next and most important step is to make knowledge more accessible for everyone and give people the chance to launch their own community initiatives.
“Together with more than 2,400 people, we’re building our own roof for the Knowledge Cafe. We have found resources for construction and now we’re raising funds for repairs — brick by brick — with help from people and businesses. Anyone who donates for a brick will have their name written on our wall of builders. The new Knowledge Cafe will add a self-mobilization museum, a robotics school, a shared workspace, and an art residency — a place where anyone can get a better education, discover new interests, grow, and connect in a warm, welcoming setting. It will host educational and cultural activities and help bring new life to the region” says Nana Bagalishvili.
The Knowledge Cafe believes real change happens when people come together — which is why they were glad to join “Tegeta Holding’s” campaign. Alongside other organizations, the Knowledge Cafe is now part of the **tegeta.care** platform. This means anyone can join the “Care” campaign — and more than that, with each donation or bit of support, you help change lives and build this educational oasis. Later, you’ll even find a brick inside the Knowledge Cafe with your name on it.
Tegeta Holding launched this big New Year’s campaign to tackle social problems and bring as many people together as possible around the idea of kindness. As part of it, they created **tegeta.care**, a platform that gathers different projects and organizations in one place. It lets anyone get involved — to fund, support, or raise awareness about causes they care about. You don’t need any special experience, status, or extra resources. Helping out doesn’t take a lot of time, money, or effort.
“tegeta.care is a bridge between people who want access to education and those who can help make it easier, invest in it, and grow it. This relationship means a lot to us — the team behind it is amazing, and I hope our friendship will continue under the roof of the new Knowledge Cafe” says Nana Bagalishvili.
A magical, sparkling, positive date is just around the corner… Together, we can all help children, the elderly, and homeless animals to make this year brighter for everyone.
